It features brand-new low-viscosity mineral oil and seal architecture. It also features improved lever ergonomics and a lower-profile inline master cylinder and hose. The Shimano XT brake caliper comes with new high-performance resin pistons that don't crack like ceramic pistons do.

Caliper Customization: Pair the BL-M8200 with the M8220 Enduro caliper for high stopping power and control in rough terrain.
Consistent Brake Control: Smooth SERVO WAVE ACTION optimizes the power curve and manages pad-to-rotor friction throughout the lever pull for better balanced braking, while new low viscosity mineral oil keeps power consistent over a wider range of temperatures.
Durability: BL-M8200's alloy lever blade utilizes SHIMANO's tried and true stamping process.
